I believe in the power, beauty and wisdom of the open heart. Living with an open, unburdened heart is what my life and my work is all about.
Heart Centered Awareness has emerged from my unconventional life, the deep desire to understand, heal and grow and the willingness to share what I have learned with others.
What had been adversities on my life journey turned out to be stepping stones. It brought me to where I am today. It's a good place.
For 15 years I have been offering seminars and classes first in Germany and then in Victoria, BC.
Growing, healing and exploring is easier when we have a safe space, a nurturing environment. The turning point on my path was when I committed to create that safe space, that nurturing environment internally. When I vowed to be at my own side and never again abandon myself.
I expressed this commitment in my 'manifesto of self-love'. For me this changed everything and that's why I call self-compassion the game-changer in my work.
In my work I create a safe and sacred space for common exploration. The answers lie within. That is what I have learned.
Finding those answers, finding the right questions and exploring my inner landscape has made my life unfold in a more enchanting way.
My workshops and classes are designed to initiate your own exploration by offering tools and inspiration.
Being in a safe space with like-minded people and a common focus allows us to harvest the amplified energy that is created through the group. We can grow, explore, and heal together. It is more effective, more nurturing and more fun.
Heart Centered Awareness (HCA) is my baby. It is has emerged from the intimate relationship with the adversities of my life. That's where I got my PhD in common sense wisdom.
Over the last years I have tremendously benefited and learned from the knowledge that specialists share so freely online or in their books. There is an unprecedented abundance of information and tools available to and I am deeply grateful to all those teachers and practitioners.
However my healing journey has mostly been a journey of self-liberation. Though I had been traumatized in my childhood and lived in a frozen emotional state for decades, feeling isolated and deeply inadequate I could find my way out without professional help. What got me to where I am today were two core qualities; kindness towards myself and a sincere curiosity to unravel the mysteries of my own making/psyche. This compassionate and deep introspection helped me to gather insights and over time things became clearer and life became easier and more enjoyable.
HCA is, at its core, Compassionate Curiosity. This attitude has led me to a place where I feel secure in myself and this secure sense of self has enabled deeper and more loving relationships with others.
Enjoying life as it is doesn't mean I have reached the 'final destination of eternal bliss'. Life is challenging, and we are vulnerable. However, I experience the dance of life, the journey of Heart Centered Awareness as a deepening and widening process, expanding more and more into the depth, mystery and beauty of life, living life more wholeheartedly and being curious about what lies around the next corner.
