Something exciting came into my life about two years ago!
Imagine a puzzle or mosaic … over the years of my healing journey, I had collected all the puzzle pieces: insights, teachings, experiences … and put them together. What emerged was Heart Centered Awareness. The understanding that living with compassion, curiosity and courage provides healing, comfort, and meaningful purpose. I had all the puzzle pieces and the picture felt complete. Heart Centered Awareness had emerged as a tool for healing and connection.
I wasn’t aware that something was missing. I had all the pieces together … but a tool needs to be three-dimensional. You can’t use a printout of an electric drill to drill a hole into a wall.
Then I discovered IFS (Internal Family Systems Therapy) and the magic happened! It was love at first sight and Heart Centered Awareness transformed from a two-dimensional picture into a three-dimensional power tool.
For more than two years, I’ve been involved in trainings and practicing IFS with clients and myself. My love and excitement for IFS is continually growing. IFS has proven to be a very effective therapy with mental health issues like depression, anxiety, addictions, and trauma. Using it for the past two years, I have felt profound shifts throughout my inner world in ways I couldn’t have imagined. Many of the parts of me that were wounded through early childhood trauma have been released from their emotional burdens. I feel the effects of these healing encounters by a deepening sense of calm, compassion, trust, and courage.
I see how IFS reaches and helps more and more people. It’s like a gigantic wave, a tsunami of healing that’s gaining speed and spreading hope. I’m excited to be part of this Tsunami of Love by continuing to heal, by offering individual IFS sessions and facilitating Healing Circles.
It feels like a huge gift and privilege to be able to help others by being a guide and companion on their healing journey.
